What does it mean to truly belong? In today’s business climate, we say we value people most of all. We work to bring diversity to our teams and change policies and practices to create more inclusive workplaces. But sometimes we get so caught up in the idea of diversity and inclusion that we forget what it should feel like to truly belong. When you belong, there’s space for you – literally and figuratively. When you belong, people care about your ideas. When you belong, you are celebrated, not tolerated. In this frame-shifting session, Kori asks us to remember that we have never locked eyes with a person who is not worthy of freedom, of connection, and of belonging, and offers a human-centric way to embrace total belonging and stop bias in its tracks.
